As fall is in full swing around here, all I can still think about is baking anything and everything pumpkin. The funny thing is, I feel like I’m on this time crunch because in my mind, I only have until Thanksgiving to bake with pumpkin. Haha, it’s weird I know but in the mean time I know you’re all going to thank me for the plethora of recipes coming your way.
I’m sharing this Pumpkin Spice Bundt cake as a great basic and super easy cake recipe that’s basically foolproof. I feel like bundt cakes are a bit under used, maybe even under appreciated. I know when I’m thinking of a dessert to make for my family or for a party, I personally want something impressive and complicated. But that’s of course me. Then I realize I have a collection of bundt pans that aren’t used as often as I’d like and I realize bundt cakes are so easy to make and turn out so beautifully. No need to worry about cake layers or anything. The intricate decoration of bundt pans are enough to wow any crowd. The one I used for this recipe is my absolute favorite. It’s the Nordic Ware 70th Anniversary Crown Bundt pan. You can find it at Williams Sonoma stores ( I like to wait for a 20% off sale like they currently have right now). Or Amazon also carries it. You can also use any bundt pan you’d like, just make sure it’s at least a 10 inch pan.
I honestly believe everyone should have a few great basic bundt cake recipes and you know that pumpkin is one that’s right up there at the top of my list. This recipe is so easy to put together, no stand mixer required. Because you know, sometimes you just need a quick and easy recipe to put together but one that’s also amazing!
And this one is amazing, trust me. It has everything you want in a pumpkin cake. It’s super moist, has a tender crumb and it’s full of the perfect amount of spices to make it one of the best you’ll ever have. I chose to make it even more simple by adding a dusting of powdered sugar for a simple, yet elegant touch. You could drizzle any type of frosting you’d like. This recipe here has one that would work great.
As with every recipe, read through the recipe first to make sure you have all of the ingredients on hand and that everything is measured out and ready to go. This recipe is best served the same day but it’s still soo good the next day you bake it and it keeps and holds us really well. I hope you enjoy the recipe and if you make this or any of my recipes, please share on Instagram tagging your photos with #everythingemmyrecipe.
